Criminal Case - End of Year Status Update

Screen dump from Criminal Case
In Criminal Case, I have reached level 72, and well under way in area 28. As some of you, regular readers, will have noticed, there is a certain monotony in each area being divided into three chapters, and having to complete extra investigation under each level.

When you have caught the guilty person, you want to move forward, but it's a choice the producers have made - and that's ok.

Have fun out there. :-)

Mob Wars - Quick Status Update

I just wanted to give you an end of the year update on Mob Wars. This morning I reached level 1184, so moved ten levels in just over 5 days. :-)

As always, it's great fun to share gifts (energy, stamina and items) with all of you, so do join the mob if you haven't done so already. And, once again, I will also provide updates on the other games I play, including Airport City - Free to Fly, Mafia Wars, Criminal Case (where I am already in area 28) and FarmVille.

If you need tricks I haven't already mentioned, you are welcome to leave a comment. :-)

Happy New Year to all of you.

Practice Makes Perfect

Puzzle solving in Criminal Case can actually be fun
As many of you know, we all have strong and weaker points. Some are good at solving puzzles. Others are less able to do this. I have found an interesting aspect in all of this, and that is that the old saying "Practice makes perfect" is true.

Once you begin doing what you have not been accustomed to before, you begin to develop a certain talent for it. For me it was always the window to the right at the top in the 9 window screen in Criminal Case that used to annoy me. Once I decided I would earn all the experience stars, I had to face puzzle solving, and after some five or six complete runs, I am actually doing it like I never did anything else.

So I would encourage all of you to face your challenges head on. You are going to be happy once you have conquered those hurdles. It works well in games, but is certainly also applicable in real life.

Criminal Case - Level 61

In Criminal Case things are starting to move a bit faster. I have fifty friends who play the game also, though with varying intervals between being active, but some have been activated after I began sending cards...

Level 61, and investigating case no 21 is ok, but still the game does have an annoying similarity between levels. Three chapters and additional investigation. The same challenges set up in nine windows etc.

I guess that is what lies at the root of many Facebook games. Repetition can be the best form of emphasis, some believe. :-)

Anyway have fun out there, and a nice weekend everyone.

Facebook Games - Status Update

In Mob Wars, I have reached level 1025, and now almost passing 400 mob members. Feel free to join the mob by clicking this link: https://apps.facebook.com/mobwars/profile/?user_id=742214440.

In Criminal Case, I have reached level 45. Once I have had the time to spend all the energy that has accumulated over the weeks, I'll probably reach level 47, and will have finalized district no. 13 fully. :-)

In Mafia Wars, I have reached level 680. There were a few weeks where I didn't play it at all. Some large mobs have a tendency of watching who is online, and they quite simply bombard people to steal funds. So you end up doing a lot of jobs, yet you can't continue, because you then lack the funds to continue with the next job because someone takes it from you. Such behaviour could potentially destroy gameplay, but I'm quite sure that someone is trying to alert admins as to the patterns some follow in the game of Mafia Wars...

In Airport City: Free to Fly, I have reached level 24.

As always, you are free to join, and if you have any questions whatsoever, please feel free to use the comment field.

Have fun out there :-)

Some Games Appeal to Some People

It's quite fun to hear people talking about games on their computers. Some people LOVE one game, and others detest it. Some are strategists, others just want some fun during a short break. Truth is: some games appeal to some people, and others for other people.

Some friends of mine LOVE World of Warcraft - I can't get the needed overview or set myself into that world of phantasy.

Even if I spent the next year testing their wonderful methods they reveal on blogs, in forums etc, it would never be a game for me. It would just be a system of consuming time.

This is ecactly the same thing with a game such as Criminal Case, at times. I like the initial investigation, the solved murder mystery, and suddenly you have the boring aspect of any case, extra investigation.

In my world, you should be able to move on to the next case WITHOUT having to run through the same lanes earning your points for some minor aspect. I go for the full five stars in each lane, and then I had hoped I didn't have to run through it again.

Gameplay IS different for all people.

I remember the good old days of Wolfenstein, Doom and all the nostalgic games of that starting era. Much has happened since, and in this short journey though the world of gaming there is one thing that further bugs me - the functionality of Flash. Flash-based games are wonderful in the sense that they can be played through your browser. But they certainly require something of servers.... Zynga games often hang, and it's a real pain in the backside when that happens.

Criminal Case

There is a new and very exciting game on Facebook, called Criminal Case. It's quite a big challenge to get all five levels in puzzles - but could also be interesting for kids since you have to find hidden stuff around a specific image.

So I would recommend you check it out alongside Mob Wars, Mafia Wars and Crime City. It gives a certain variety to add Criminal Case to your portfolio of games.

Have fun. :-)
